Video

I was asked to research video, especially ones which have been made by photographers. I have added research to my artists research blog post.

I was then set the task of creating a film myself. I thought long and hard about what it was I wanted to do and decided I wanted to make something which was creepy and a little different to what I would normally choose.

I wrote down all of my ideas and began to piece something together which I felt could work quite well.

I asked my daughter if she wanted to model for me to which she agreed. I asked her to do as I directed and told her to put her pyjamas on first. She came out of her bedroom wearing a sheep onesie and then it hit me, that is perfect! She could be a sweet innocent child in a sheep costume doing creepy things on the landing. Perfect!

I set about filming and it took no more than half an hour to get the clips I wanted. I took the memory card into college the next day to set about editing. The next day in college I realised I had made one huge mistake... I had shot the film in portrait instead of landscape! What a silly thing to do. I spoke to my tutor who suggested I re shoot, but in landscape not portrait.

I never got round to re creating the video but I did however get told about a video that has been shot in portrait and not landscape so I am uploading the video as it is even though it is on its side (as I don't know how to change it around to be in portrait). It was filmed in black and white as I loe old black and white film.

I have, however, drastically improved and developed my idea to make a stop motion.
